Scorching, hot days are few and far between, but the soil remains warm and we still have a good number of sunlight hours. These favourable conditions allow new roots get established before the cool of winter.
So I'll be getting those potted plants in the ground now, tucking them in for winter with some mulch, allowing breathing space around the stems, then sitting back to witness the benefits with healthy plants and lush new growth in spring.
