Autumn is perfect for taking cuttings of some my favourite plants, so that I have even more fillers to add to the new garden in spring. I'll be taking cuttings of correa, westringea, grevillea and whatever else I can get my hands on.
All I need do after taking the cuttings, is remove the lower leaves, dip in rooting hormone or honey then pot up in light, free-draining potting mix, or sand/peat combination. Practically plants for free!
